The thick, heavy teak is constructed in a way that offers reliability and low maintenance coupled with the benefit of being handcrafted from durable timber, meaning your coffee table should last you for years to come. As part of the weathering process, cracks and splits will appear on your furniture, particularly on the end grain and to a lesser extent on the surface within a few weeks. Don’t be alarmed when you see this; this is normal behaviour with close-grain hardwoods. If you would like to prevent this happening, we recommend using Teak Oil, or our Teak Care Kit.
